Free Yoga Classes

Shanèl Dear shares a restorative flow class from her Toronto apartment. We love her voice and invitations to connect with our best selves. Enjoy some slow, deliberate movements and the crystal singing bowl.

Shanèl (She/Her)  is a movement and meditation teacher based in Toronto ( Turtle island which is the unceded land of many nations including the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit.) She has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 3 years, she teaches from an anti colonial, body liberating lens and hopes to make class accessible to all bodies and abilities. Her work always centres racialized folx and she tries to create a brave space for all participants to show up their most authentic self. Shanèl is passionate about social justice and a huge advocate for liberating folx from current oppressive realities. Her favourite part about teaching are the laughs and sometimes the cries.

You can find more of Shanèl's classes on demand with Toronto Yoga Co. and Six Flow or Sunday mornings at 11am with La Femme Strong.

Join Love My Mat Ambassador, Trisha for a 30 minute gentle yoga class you can do in the comfort of your own home. Grab a bolster, blanket & blocks (or cushions & books) for this mindful movement class.

Trisha is a Yoga Teacher and Health & Wellness Programs Assistant coordinating and facilitating virtual programs to optimize the overall health and well-being of older adults at a community health centre. Her yoga offerings tend to move at a slower pace where she guides you through a skillful blend of gentle movement, breath and meditation. At the end of the practice one is left feeling a little more connected to oneself, rejuvenated and lighter.

Through movement and mindfulness, she has been able to tune inwards and have a greater understanding as to where her anxiety stems from, by recognizing and feeling the impacts of race based trauma stored inside her body. Most recently Trisha has completed her Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, she believes this deeply healing and transformative practice will enhance change as she continues to gradually unravel through the layers of healing and into wholeness.

You can find more about Trisha on her website and by following her on Instagram.
